To Build A Home brings together work from two projects by photographer Amanda Jackson.
In 2013 Amanda embarked on her ’To Build A Home’ project which focuses on the Lammas Tir Y Gafel eco village in Pembrokeshire, Wales. The work, which is predominantly portraits, looks at the eco village as a whole, with people living a life in tune with the land.
Amanda then decided to start a separate project focusing solely on the young people of the community, many she initially photographed for ‘To Build A Home’, together with some who were new to the eco village.‘Where the Red Kite Flies’ is a continuation of Amanda’s ongoing documentation of this vibrant & inspiring community.
The work is supported by The Arts Council of Wales and The Arts Council of England, and of course the community itself.
